Lake Temperature & Oxygen Monitoring

Project Summary

Somerset, Wivenhoe and North Pine Dams supply water to Brisbane and South East Qld.  Lake monitoring systems provide continuous profiling of water temperatures and dissolved oxygen levels.  Information is used by dam operators to control mixing systems (bubblers or stirrers) to prevent stratification and improve water quality.  Greenspan has upgraded several of the systems with new data logging, sensing and telemetry equipment, as well as provide routine monthly servicing and verification of results by lake profiling with independent calibrated sensors.
